Waitlisted
The alternative to a waitlist spreadsheet

Your waitlist deserves more than a spreadsheet.

No more copying names from emails into rows, colouring cells, or hunting for who asked first. People sign up themselves, see their own place in line, and the order keeps itself. If you miss the spreadsheet, export to CSV.

Life in a spreadsheet

Row 47 is somebody’s hope.

  • Every sign-up is an email you copy into a new row by hand, sometimes weeks later.
  • Three versions of the file exist, and nobody is sure which one is current.
  • When someone asks where they stand, you scroll, count rows and hope you sorted it right.
  • Someone sorted by surname once, and the sign-up order was gone.
How to switch

From spreadsheet to waitlist, one evening.

  1. 01

    Turn your columns into questions

Whatever your spreadsheet tracks, from plot size to preferred day, becomes up to six questions on the page.
  2. 02

Share the link with your list

Send it to the people in your old file and put it wherever new requests come from.
  3. 03

    Let the list keep itself

Every sign-up lands in one list, already in its place. Everyone gets their own status page.
  4. 04

    Offer the next place

Tap “Offer 1 spot”. An email goes to the next person with a time-limited offer they can accept or pass on.
What the spreadsheet couldn’t do

Rows that answer for themselves.

  • People type their own details

No copying from emails. Name, email and your questions arrive complete and readable.

  • An order nobody can break

First come, first served, or a lottery fixed at sign-up. Sorting the list never changes anyone’s place.

  • Everyone sees their place

Each person has a status page that updates by itself, so the “where am I?” emails stop.

  • Filter, sort, search

Filter by status or by any answer, sort the list, and find one person in seconds.

  • CSV whenever you like

Export everything, or just what you filtered, and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Email the whole list

One message to everyone waiting, with each person’s own status link. Replies go to your inbox.

Why not just keep the waitlist in Excel?

A spreadsheet stores names, but it can’t take sign-ups, tell people their place or send an offer. You end up doing all of that by hand. Waitlisted does those parts and keeps the order fixed.

Can I still open my list in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. Export the list to CSV at any time, complete or filtered, and open it in any spreadsheet program.

How do I move the people from my old spreadsheet?

Send them the link to your new waitlist page and ask them to sign up there. If you want to honour their old order, run the new list first come, first served and invite them before you share the link publicly.

Is it better than a free spreadsheet template?

A template gives you columns. Here people fill them in themselves, everyone gets a place they can check, and freeing up a spot is one tap instead of an afternoon of emails.

Can I have several lists, like separate tabs?

Yes. Run as many waitlists as you like, one per group, size or season, each with its own link and QR code.

How much does it cost?

Building is free. Going live costs €9.99 a month or €99 a year, with unlimited waitlists and people and 5,000 announcement emails a month included (sign-up and spot emails always included). People on your list never pay.
